gah, I honestly never thought that I'd end up driving to be honest. I mean, there are so many days where I swore to get my g2 so I'd never have to TTC any where ever again. My wonderful boyfriend let me on the road with his brother's car for the very first time about a month ago. It was just a quick little drive from my cousin's house on Old Weston Road to the Petro station on St Clair and Runnymede. It was so terrifying for me. Cars moving at a fast pace was not a cup of tea for me. But he thought I was fine, with the exception that I really needed to "hug the yellow line". After that, it became an addiction for me to drive. Now that a month has passed, I have perfected parallel parking, reverse parking into a spot, keeping at the speed limit & constant mirror checks, not being intimidated by other drivers, and my worst fear ever: driving next to large vehicles & ttcs. The next 2-3 weeks, my goal is to perfect lane changing so that it's 100% on point, 3-point turning, and head on parking into a spot. I'm not trying to be over-confident, just wanted to share my experience and all the learning I've done this past month. Tonight was the night he told me that he thinks I'm ready to do my G1 exit test. So that's that, I'm all booked for May 10th. With my fingers crossed that I pass. After that, it's buying dinner and drinks for my handsome man, my little brother (who has his g2, just bought his own car, who guided me as well), my good friend & his girlfriend. Then after that, time to invest in a beautiful volkswagen & finally/officially be a part of the vdub family :) gaaaaaaaaahhh, I'm so excited! This year, 2013, is such a good out look for me so far. The things I thought I'd never be able to do, I'm getting better at. Driving AND cooking! It's only month 4, 8 more months until it's over. Wondering what else I'm capable of!
